Samstag / Dydd Sadwrn / Saturday

Cyfarchion o Grünstadt, lle mae hi dal yn boeth ond mae fy mhigyrnau'n edrych bach yn well na ddoe, ddim cymaint fel pigyrnau hen fenyw erbyn hyn! Rwy wrthi'n brysur yn aml-dasgio mewn modd sydd dim ond yn bosibl i ferched ... gwylio ail hanner y pêl-droed, blogio, uwchlwytho lluniau a bwyta siocled Ritter Sport (Knusperflakes - pecyn oren!) blasus iawn. Mmm! Y nod heno yw gorffen y blog yn weddol a chyrraedd y gwely cyn hanner nos! Gwell bwrw ati ... 60 munud o'r pêl-droed wedi mynd heibio erbyn hyn a Fabio Cappello ddim yn edrych yn hapus o gwbl ...

Diwrnod diddorol heddiw. Tra bo dyfodol y genedl (Barry Branch) yn ymweld â'r amgueddfa yn Mannheim, roeddwn i'n gwneud arolwg o wasanaeth iechyd yr Almaen. Doedden nhw ddim wedi cael arolwg gan James Tours ers ymweliad Alex Long a finne am un y bore, bedair blynedd yn ôl, felly roedd yn hen bryd i fi fynd nôl i sicrhau nad oedd y safonau wedi gostwng. Steffan Baker oedd yr arolygwr lleyg heddiw, ac fe warantwyd ansawdd y gwasaneth pelydr-X, ymweliadau brys, amseroedd aros, gwisgoedd (pinc i'r nyrsys, neis iawn) a sgiliau lapio bandage. Seren aur i ysbyty'r brifysgol yn Mannheim: canlyniad yr arolwg oedd da iawn gyda rhai nodweddion ardderchog. Steffan yn hapus a ffyn baglau newydd i ychwanegu at gasgliad y teulu Baker.

Roedd Mannheim mor hyfryd ag erioed, a'r haul yn tywynnu'n gryf erbyn y prynhawn. Cafodd y staff ginio blynyddol YGBM ar y teras yn Starcks. Roedd hi'n chwith iawn bod yno heb Miss Bedwyr a'r route arferol o amgylch y dref fel a ddisgrifiwyd gan Mollie yn y cyngerdd yn y Memo.

By now 80 minutes have passed in the football match and the German commentator is getting excited that "Peter Crouch, der 2 Meter Mann" has just arrived on the field. Fabio Cappello looks livid by now ... There are German flags everywhere here in anticipation of tomorrow's match against Australia. I now need to come clean to Mr Harrison (Lewis's father) and admit that I have "stolen" his fantasy football team. I needed to pick a team for the YGBM teachers' league (we are doing the Sky Sports competition on-line) and I had run out of time ... Mr Harrison's blog message arrived ... "Tidy," I thought ... one small tweak ... Mascherano instead of Crouch (unlike the German commentator I am not so fussed with the "Zwei Meter Mann") ... and off it went ... if I receive any major winnings I promise to share them ...

Interesting day today ... hospital visit with Steffan Baker ... German health system could still teach the NHS a thing or two ... standards equally as high as my last visit with Alex Long at one o' clock in the morning four years ago. Time is nearly up ... Looks like being 1-1 ... I have just been told that I'm off to the big festival in Neustadt ... we can hear the music from the house ... and if you can't beat them ...

P.S. Can I have some comments? Mrs Yapp is my big hope ... or Mrs Harrison? I'm feeling left out!

Don't feel like Norman-no-mates, we are reading your blogs. Unlike Lewis, your spelling is passable, and you also use photos and videos to great effect. Peter Crouch made it into the team for the very important reason that he is cheap. From Gwen and Rob
P.S. Oli hoping to start German revision this afternoon or possibly tomorrow... only joking

Please refuse to feed Oli until he has done some serious German revision ... can he also remind his various friends that they have a German lesson on Wednesday morning before the exam in the afternoon ... happy days!
No costs involved with my fantasy football ...

Thanks for your call last night - Bronwen hasn't blogged since Friday - so we have left a message on her last blog, but please tell her not to worry at all and enjoy her last couple of days.

Many thanks for all your hard work - you are truly an inspirational teacher and Bronwen only had the confidence to go on the trip due to you.

Hope the rest of the trip goes well.
